Songs and Sports

Today is the day we've all been waiting for!! We had our big singing performance during Cure's weekly chapel. The clip is in the GoPro video for today!

Purity presented the message today. It was from Acts 3 & 4 where Peter heals a beggar. Peter and John end up going to jail for teaching the people about Jesus. Purity claimed that you cannot care for someone without loving them. You will often gain nothing from your service and may even lose something. We are called to do this as Christians. We are called to serve others and be His witnesses.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

The ROCK team continued training today. We are getting a lot more accomplished than we would have originally thought which is always nice and seems to rarely happen. We got to give all of the technicians Messiah College t-shirts which was great :)

The Clubfoot team took a trip to the Molo clinic which was 4 hours away! They got back just in time for dinner though! Grace made pizza for us which was supper good and loaded with toppings. Cheese isn't big in Kenya at all so it was mostly crust, meat, and veggies.

After the work day, the ROCK team went to the local soccer game and enjoyed some fresh air. Shadrack was playing so it was fun to get to watch him. On the way there and back we got to see monkeys walking across the power lines like our squirrels do at home!

We are back at the house now relaxing. Dan is showing a Japanese movie that everyone is kind of half watching. The Go Africa team went to another guest house to have their devo with the rest of their group so we are enjoying having the living room to ourselves :)
